Kathryn Elizabeth Muller Griswold died at 5:40 AM Friday, May 12, 2023 at North MS Medical Center after two years of battling cancer. Kathryn was 68 years old. Born Jan. 25, 1955 in Crowley, Louisiana to the late Michel “Buster” Muller and Elizabeth Wilkins Muller, she attended the Crowley public schools and graduated in 1973 from Crowley High School. She attended and received her BS in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University in 1977. She met her husband, Richard D. Griswold there and they were married on June 12, 1976. She was very supportive of Rick as he completed his medical education. To this union was born 3 children, Kenneth, David and Allison. A consummate housewife and homemaker, Kathryn was an endeared wife, mother and Maw Maw. She loved supremely her family and cherished the time spent with them. The Griswolds were faithful and active members of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo and members of the Philo Sunday school class. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crossword and sudoku puzzles and was a prodigious reader.

A Service of Death and Resurrection celebrating her life will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Tupelo with Rev. Rusty and Rev. Fawn Keen officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday only in the Gathering Room.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Dr. Rick Griswold of Tupelo; her children, Kenneth Griswold and wife, Amanda of Owatonna, Minnesota, David Griswold and wife, Meg of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Allison Fernambucq and husband, Michael of Birmingham, Ala; her grands, Evelyn, Eleanor Eliza, Calvin, Matilda and Everett Griswold; a brother, Stephen Muller and wife, Liz of Beaumont, TX, and a sister-in-law, Cathy Muller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Elizabeth Muller; a brother, Michael Muller and his in-laws, Kenneth Griswold, Sr. and Juanita Griswold.
