Funeral for Kathleen Nix Byars, 78, of Hatton will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Brother Ronald Davis officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Byars died Monday at her residence. She was born April 15, 1938, to Ramond Nix and Ethal Cottingham Nix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Watson Darwin (Dutch) Byars and daughter, Betty Sue Johnson.
Survivors include three sons, Harold (Chasty) Johnson, Howard Johnson and Johnathan (Loretta) Byars; three daughters, Kathy (Doyle) Hallman, Janice (Buddy) Parker and Jaynelynne (Rick) Streatman; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family.
