Kathleen Lois VanNetta, 67, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. A graduate of East Carolina University, Miss VanNetta retired in 2001 as an elementary school teacher. She taught with the Madison County School system at Harvest Elementary and Madison Crossroads Elementary. She was preceded in death by her father, Col. E. A. VanNetta.
Survivors include her mother, Helen K. VanNetta; sisters, Barbara Allison (Dick) and Andrea McManus (Pat); nephew, Evan McManus; and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. No other services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
