Kathleen Hessey Hill, age 79 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Medical Center in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, she was born on March 19, 1942 in Decherd to the late Louis Edward and Ida Lou (Gipson) Hessey. Kathleen was a devoted homemaker, and enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, cooking, and baking. But most of all, she cherished the time she spent taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Jimmy Hill; children, Shannon (Rhonda) Hill of Beaumont, Texas, Michael (Marla) Hill of Winchester, and Tammy (Kenny) Hunt of Winchester; brother, Wayne (Brenda) Hessey of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Jason Hill, Kristen (Clayton) Coburn, Kala (Timothy) Barnett, and Dakota Hunt; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Mullin, Jimmy Mullin, Aubrey Hillton, Alister Mary Coburn, Hailey Sons, and Weston Barnett. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
