Funeral for Kathleen Borden Mitchell, 83, of Moulton will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Moulton with Brother Robert Winters and Brother Steve Hood officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mitchell, who died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born March 1, 1930, in Lawrence County to Elmer Borden and Julia Jarrett Borden. She was an elderly assistant for Senior Companion. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Hillard Mitchell; her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Mitchell of Moulton; three granddaughters, Amy Mitchell and Patrick Terry, Brooke Pennington (Michael) and Courtney Sandlin (Shannon), all of Moulton; three great-grandchildren, Easton Mitchell, Kylie Lamon and Mali Pennington; two brothers, Hillard Borden (Paulette) and Duel (Buddy) Borden and wife, Mary Catherine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, Wendell Mitchell, Derek Borden, Michael Borden, Gary Pierce and Brian Pearson.
