Katheryne Faye Roper Chassay – Obituary

 Katheryne Faye Roper Chassay passed away Monday, July 2, 2018. Faye, 79, was born in Lake Charles, LA and lived most of her adult life in Huntsville, AL. She gave birth to six loving and special children. She enjoyed hosting parties, playing tennis, playing cards, traveling, and was an accomplished league bowler earlier in her life. Faye was employed by the FBI in Houston for several years, but returned to Huntsville to be with her children.

She is survived by her sister, Gail Roper White of DeKalb, Texas; and her six children, all of whom live in North Alabama: Cindy Chassay Norton, TC (Terri) Chassay Zimmerman, Dean Chassay, Don Chassay, Paul Chassay, and Brett Chassay. She was a grandmother to 14, and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Huntsville.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 6 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A memorial mass will follow at the church with Father Phil O’Kennedy officiating. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at the church.
