Katherine Short, age 72 of Bremen, AL passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at UAB Palliative Care. She was born October 10, 1953, to Bill Brookshire and Betty Dowdy Brookshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents & sister, Debbie Brookshire.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Short; sons, Jason (Winter) Short, Nathan (Debbie) Short; grandchildren, Kylen Short, Adelyn Short, Anden Short; brother, William (Marie) Brookshire; sister, Pam (Dave) Dempsey and her loving pet, Bear.
Katherine was the ROCK of our family and will be sorely missed by us all. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
