Mrs. Katherine Louise Moore Sneed, 92, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at her residence in Columbia, Tenn.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County, Tenn. native was the daughter of the late Floyd Moore and Iva B. Chunn Moore. On April 14, 1938, she married the Rev. John Hunter Sneed and was his loving helpmate for 62 years until his death on Dec. 28, 2000. Mrs. Sneed was a charter member and the oldest attending lady of New Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church at Rally Hill and later she placed her membership at Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her family and her church. She was always dressed up and ready to attend gospel singings anywhere in Middle Tennessee and North Alabama.
Survivors include her daughter, Eddice Sneed Burns, of Spring Hill; sons, Alvie “Bud” Sneed, of Columbia, Samuel (Claudia) Sneed, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; very special friend, Thurston Fly, of Cornersville; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Justin Woods; brother, Robert S. Moore; and sisters, Agnes Shires and Dalice Hargrove Harmon.
