Katherine Gabriel, age 90 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Haleyville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 14, 1934, to Homer and Clara Aderholt. Katherine was strong-willed and determined woman with a very tough, but kind heart. She was phenomenal wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother going above and beyond the means of her call. Katherine loved to sew and sing. A graveside service will be held Monday February 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Littleville Cemetery in Haleyville, Brother Joseph Desiderio will officiate. Katherine was survived by her sons, Paul Keith (Pat) Gabriel, and Keenan Wayne (Wendy) Gabriel; grandchildren, Clint Gabriel, Matt Neville, Krystal Neville, Jeff Pelt, Lamar Gabriel, Keena Prince; great-grandchildren, Paul Wayne Gabriel, Spencer Neville, Blake Neville, Savannah Neville, Rowdy Pelt; step-grandchildren, Nick Howard, A.J. Saylor; sisters, Barbara Hicks, and Ernisteen Bird. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Pelt; husband, Paul Wayne Gabriel; parents, Homer and Clara Aderholt; sisters, Imogene Harris, Elain Clay; brothers, Kenneth Aderholt, Quinton Aderholt.
