Karol Bass Donaldson, age 80 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away February 1, 2026. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Vance Hutton officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion County.
Mrs. Donaldson is survived by her husband, David E. South; children, Kim (Greg) Mitchell, Craig (Lana) Donaldson and Kaleisha (Darryl) Pennington; sisters, Margaret Roberts and Cindy Bass; brother, Larry (Charlotte) Bass; grandchildren, Kyle (Lexie) Donaldson, Dustin (Crystal) Donaldson, Kayla (Ryan) Duvall, Cody (Brooke) Mitchell and Conner Mitchell; great grandchildren, Ellis, Florence, Grayer, Madi Claire, Layla, Kaitlyn and Brodie; and great great grandson, Banks.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Idell Wood Bass; sister, Brenda Kay Bass; and 1st husband, Joseph D. Donaldson.
