Karen Sue Morris Shaw, age 53 of Decherd, passed away on August 13, 2023, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. She was born on November 11, 1969, to the late Leonard and Barbara Morris. Karen worked in the food industry as a cook. When she was not working, she enjoyed painting and drawing, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Barbara Morris; sister, Kathy Morris. She is survived by her children, J.R. Sweeton of Winchester, Parker Sweeton od Decherd, Patricia Sweeton of Maryland, Timothy Sweeton of Cowan; grandchildren, Jason Sweeton, Kaylee Sweeton, Jacob Sweeton; one sister; and two brothers.
