Funeral service for Karen Ponter Murphy Bauer, 69, will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery Hartselle, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bauer died on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1954, in Morgan County, to James Emanuel Ponter and Tommie Jane Smith Ponter.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Falkville Healthcare and Rehab, prior to her retirement. She was a loving wife and mother and was always caring for others. She was a United States Army Veteran and after her service she always was working and caring for saved and forgotten warriors and veterans. She loved her country, as she loved her family. Her parents preceded her in death.

Several nieces and nephews.
