Karen Michelle Woods, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 24, 2016, after an accident. She was born on Nov. 6, 1968, in Sheffield, Alabama and grew up in Russellville, Alabama and attended Tharptown High School. She spent most of her life working in manufacturing or as a retail sales clerk. Even though she recently moved to Texas, she was still a huge fan of Alabama football. She loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Woods; her brother, Jeff Woods; and her stepbrother, Eric Robison.
She is survived by her sons, Bradley and Randy Doss; mother, Shirley Robison and husband, Jerry; fiancé, John McLean; siblings, Kevin Woods and wife, Lisa, Raymond Dotson, and Tina Posey and husband, Kenny; aunts, Eva Woods, Elisha Hale, and Verlon Teiney; stepbrother, Jerry Glenn Robison and wife, Debbie; numerous nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her faithful dog, Pistol.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Cowboy Church of Colbert County, 3440 Highway 157, Leighton, Alabama 35646, with Truman Sutton officiating.
