Karen Inez Tacon Karen Inez Tacon, 70, of Lacey’s Spring, died Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home.

Karen never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.  She worked at KFC for many years when she was younger.  Karen also was a great caregiver to her mother and helped take care of her grandmother.  In addition, she was always there and willing to help her best friend Betty.

She was an avid bowler with her many bowling buddies at Pin Palace and she was a huge Dolly Parton fan.

Karen was one in a million and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was survived by her brother, Terry Tacon (Demetria); sister, Kristina Larrabee (Richard); sister-in-law, Charlotte Tacon; nieces and nephews: Joey Tacon, Misty Kline, Thomas Tacon, Jr., Jeanie Smith, Michelle Bloodworth, Amanda Campbell, Robin Hatcher, Brandon Larrabee, Emily Kulas, Samuel Larrabee, and Jacob Larrabee.; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; an aunt, Jennye Bushong, and many cousins.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Tate A. Tacon; mother, Barbara Byrd Tacon; and brothers, Tate A. Tacon, Jr. and Thomas D. Tacon.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey’s Spring, followed by the service at 1:00. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
