Karen Geanette Brown, 66, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home in Elkmont, Alabama.
She was born on June 26, 1959, to the late Mr. Lewis Allen Scott and the late Mrs. Opal Dean Hargrove Scott.
Karen spent the majority of her life in the Elkmont community, and she was of the Christian faith. She was proud to have been a winner of the Garden of the Month Club and enjoyed taking great care of her garden as well as canning and cooking.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Steve Brown, as well as one sister, Geraldean Brewer.
Karen is survived by one son, Lewis (Amy) Brown, one daughter, Leslie (Justin) Harmon, two brothers, Michael Scott and Mark Scott, three sisters; Sheila (Michael) Watkins, Sandy (Gary) Bryant and Joy Gates, three grandchildren; Cheston Riddle, Lucas Brown, and Jenna Brown, as well as one great grandchild, Penelope Riddle.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Brown is scheduled to be held at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama on Monday, February 16, 2026, with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
