Karen Denise “Sissy” Tann, 55, of Elkmont, AL, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Nashville, TN.
Sissy was born on November 11, 1969, in Athens, AL to her parents Dennis “Doodie” and the late Elizabeth Caroline Posey Mitchell. She lived in the Ardmore area all her life and was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. She loved quilting and making crafts, canning, gardening, being outdoors, traveling and most of all her family and playing with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother and cousin, Ronnie Mitchell.
Sissy is survived by her husband, Brian Tann; son, Trey (Emily) Powers, 2 grandchildren, Liam “Bubba” and Gracelyn Powers.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 12 noon up to service time at 2 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hasting Cemetery.
