Kadanse Gertrude Tverberg, lovingly known as Gert, of Duluth, Minnesota, was born on May 31, 1963, and peacefully crossed over on January 19, 2026.

Gert was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Tverberg, and leaves behind her sons, Phillip (Heather) Tverberg and Kenny (Tanya) Tverberg; grandsons, Cole and Jase; sisters, Maggie Wallner, Violet Thompson and Theresa Lundgren along with many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Gert spent most of her adult life in North Alabama, where she lived and made countless memories—especially while spending time on the Elk River, one of her favorite places to relax and just be.

Quiet and free-spirited, she followed her own path, enjoyed art, and had a lifelong love for the Green Bay Packers.

For over 30 years, Gert devoted herself to caring for others with a compassionate and steady presence.

Gert will be remembered for her gentle strength, her individuality, her love for her family, and the calm, thoughtful way she moved through the world. She will be greatly missed.

Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation in her memory.
