Junior “Hippie” Ellison, age 72, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Martin, TN, owned and operated Ellison Signs for over 40 years, and attended Faith Church. He loved to play golf, pool and cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Ellison, Sr. and Mary Gower Ellison.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, JoAnn Goolsby Ellison; one son, Chad Ellison; one daughter, Jodi Long (Shane); three grandchildren, Jake Smith (Leighton), Jaden Ellison, and Luci Long; one great-granddaughter; Mia Smith all of Lawrenceburg, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends that he loved greatly.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
