A graveside service for June Summerlin Reed, 91, of Lineville will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at Clay County Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry Colquitt and Rev. Edward Bolen officiating.
Mrs. Reed passed away January 25 and was lifelong resident of Clay County. Mrs. June was a teacher for over 30 years in Clay County. She loved her church family and was a powerful and faithful prayer warrior. June enjoyed having visitors and entertaining out in the sunroom. She sewed, crocheted and loved her house plants and flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth and Allen Mooty; grandson, Andrew Williams; sister-in-law and caregiver, Sheila Cooper; cousins, Norma Alverson, Gail McCord and Joan Harris; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.H. “Slim” and Jessica Summerlin; husband, Jim Reed; daughter, Carolyn Williams; sister, Geraldine Hare; brother, Tommy Summerlin.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Williams, Buddy Griffin, Jeremy Sartain, Keith Warren and Ricky Burroughs.
Family requests donations be made to the Lineville Baptist Church in June’s memory.
