June Jacqueline Norris Pyle, 94, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1930 in Augusta, Georgia to the late James Pierce Norris and Lucille Elizabeth Hardy Norris. Mrs. Pyle loved to bake and sew and had a tender heart for animals. She loved her family and her husband of 67 years, Jim, who served in in the United States Army for 32 years. June followed Jim during his career and enjoyed their retirement years in Alexandria, Alabama.
She is survived by her children Kelly Owen (Randy), Jaye Russell, Tracie Pyle, Jason Pyle, Philip Pyle, and Ellen Fritts; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, in 2021, her parents, and all six of her siblings.
The family will gather at a later time in Augusta to honor her life.
