June Halye, 98 of Huntsville passed away Monday June 27th. June was born in Shenandoah Pennsylvania. She grew up in Shenandoah and helped raise her younger brother and sisters after her parents passed. She married Carl Edward Halye in 1950 and they moved to New York City where Carl worked in the diamond district. They moved to Wayne, NJ and raised three children Carl Jr., Elizabeth, and Marie.
Since 2001 she has lived with her daughter Beth and her son-in-law Steve Young in Huntsville.
June enjoyed playing cards, and other games with friends. More than anything she cherished her family and was happiest when
surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Martha, Mary, Edward, Josephine, Victoria, Anthony, Anne, and Theresa; her husband, Carl, and her son, Carl Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Beth Young (Steve) of Huntsville, AL and Marie Beyer (Craig) of Lincoln Park, NJ; her daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Halye of Midlothian, VA; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
June will be buried next to her husband Carl in Beaver Springs PA in a private ceremony.
