Mrs. June Faye Reece, age 77 of Athens, AL passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Reece was born on November 7, 1940 in Limestone County to J.D. and Mary Lou Simmons.
Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Vernon W. Reece of Athens, AL; children, Lisa Denton (Greg) of Harvest, AL, Greg Reece (Tammy) of Athens, AL and Julie Coblentz (Tommy) of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Justin Denton (Jodie), Jana Pressnell (Logan), Jeremy Denton (Hannah), Hunter Reece (Katie), Easton Reece, Abbie Coblentz, Kate Coblentz and Trip Coblentz; great-granddaughter, Lena Denton; brothers, Kenneth Simmons (Janice), Larry Simmons (Jewel) and sister, Carolyn Hays (Jim); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Reece was a member of Eastside Church of Christ and a graduate of Athens Bible School. She loved vacationing in the Smoky Mountains and most of all, loved her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Services for Mrs. Reece will be at 12:00 Noon Friday, March 2, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Klein officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Justin Denton, Jeremy Denton, Hunter Reece, Easton Reece, Logan Pressnell and James Smith.
