June Elizabeth Owens passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born June 20,1936 in Liverpool, England, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Garrett. She married the love of her life, Clyde Owens on February 26, 1973.
June was a graduate of the Mary Webb Cosmetology School and enjoyed painting, singing and her love of animals. She was blessed with
a wonderful group of friends in the States as well as in England. In her later years, she was known around town as Mama June.
June is survived by one daughter, Gail Owens Perry (Tony); two grandchildren, Ryan Perry (Randi) and Taryn Atchley (Josh); four great-grandchildren: Lucas Perry, Bristol Perry, Jaxson Savage and Ridge Atchley; and four stepchildren: Billy Owens (Jennifer), Jimmy Owens (Calisse), Lori Berumen (Hank) and Lonnie Owens (Michelle).
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Owens; parents, William and Elizabeth Garrett; five brothers and sisters; Bobby Lynn Owens and Debbie Owens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be Thursday, February 10th at 11:00
AM with Rev. Pat Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery
