June Appleton Boone, age 83, passed away Monday August 3, 2026 at Smith County Health and Rehabilitation in Carthage, TN.June was born June 2, 1943 in Pulaski, Tn to Mackie Lee and Mary Ethel Adams Appleton. Her favorite pastime was watching The Golden Girls, she had a passionate love of spending time with her children and grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents Mackie and Ethel Appleton; husband Gerald Wayne Solomon; four siblings Jerry, Toby, Shelby, and Joyce; son Woodrow Solomon, Sr.; and daughter Marilyn Eakes.
Visitation will be 12-2pm Wednesday August 5, 2026 with Funeral to follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Survivors include her son Jeff Solomon and wife Rebecca; daughters Maxine Hunter, Kristina Boone; brother Cletus Appleton and wife Janet; sisters Glenda Nelen, Alice Johnson; grandchildren Amanda Hunter, Chad Hunter, Woody Solomon, Jr., Lynn Solomon, Makayla Howard (Tiyler), Meagan Bond (Jonah), Brooke Abston (Keshawn), and Calvin Harris. Numerous other relatives and friends.
