Julia M. Walls, age 93 of Decherd, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at NHC Sequatchie county Health Center. She was born in Franklin County on April 30, 1932, to the late Roosevelt and Josephine (Ritter) Partin. A dedicated homemaker, Julia enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidery. She was a devoted member of White Oak Grove Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Walls; siblings, Lyman Partin, Nancy Sherrill, Georgie Limbaugh, and Katherine Craig; and stepchildren, John Walls, Nola Hill, Jewell Gillespie, Judy Walls, George Walls, Margaret Powers, Jack Walls, Charles Walls, and Evelyn Gipson. Julia is survived by her loving son, Alvin Dale (Sherry) Walls of Decherd, daughter-in-law. Odus Walls of Decherd; grandchild, Austin (Brittany) Walls of Decherd; many step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Caroline Isbell, Matthew Walls, Piper Walls, C.W. Walls, and Millie Walls; many step-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Billy Gillespie; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Beal and Bro. Jonathan Blazer officiating.
