Julia Janet McCain, aged 88 years, passed away on June 14th, 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama. Jan was born in Fairview, Alabama in Cullman county on April 30th, 1932 and was a graduate of Fairview High School. Jan retired from BellSouth after many years’ service and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Owen and Carrie McCain and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Ray Prichard. Aunt Jan is also survived by her nieces and nephews Mike Prichard, Danny Prichard, and Julie Adams and great-nieces and great-nephews Ashley Prichard, Bradley Prichard, Carley Prichard, Zachary Adams, and Sumner Compher. Graveside service will be held at First Baptist Church of Fairview in Fairview, Alabama on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be made in Jan’s name to the First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama.
