She is survived by her daughters, Sherre Wells (Barry) and Candace Johnson Driver; granddaughter, Chelsea McGowen (Ryan); grandson, Logan Driver; great-granddaughter Marley McGowen; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Johnson; her parents, Fred and Opal Bryant; and her siblings, Beatrice Herndon and Leon Bryant.
She worked at Production Credit Association for many years, then worked in Home Health Care for the last 28 years of her life, only retiring in April of this year. Her clients meant the world to her and she always made sure they had a home-cooked meal on holidays. She loved taking care of her family and others. She never missed a single event her kids were involved in. She was the best cook and always made sure to have her grandchildren’s favorite meals cooked whenever they came to over to visit. She loved holidays and making big meals for the gatherings. She was a loyal member of Leatherwood Baptist Church.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at RMC Anniston, to the nurses, CNAs, therapists, and anyone else that took care of her at Jacksonville Health and Rehab, and to her church family at Leatherwood Baptist Church.
