Judy Wallace Young, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points and Pastor David Ward officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 3, 1954 in Columbia, Judy was the daughter of the late Virgil Wallace and the late Irene Nolan Wallace. She attended Allensville Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. Judy enjoyed her visits to Fred’s and in her younger years she loved working around the house and taking care of her home. Above all, Judy loved spending time with her very special granddaughter, Kara.
She is survived by her son: Michael (Mary) Thomson of Columbia; daughter: Jennifer Wallace of Columbia; brother: Bobby (Judy) Wallace of Columbia; sister: Cathy (Dwight “Booty”) Maxwell of Columbia; granddaughter: Kara Wallace; step grandchildren: Robyn, Autumn, and Timothy Sharp; step great grandchild: Zayden Sharp; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Wallace.
