Judy Mae McLendon, age 81, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 13, from noon-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Douglas Williams officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McLendon was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin McLendon, with whom she owned and operated McLendon and Sons Optical.
She is survived by her daughters, Terry McLendon, Temple Russ, and Cathy Markovitz; sons, Marc McLendon and Jody McLendon; grandchildren, Stephanie Tipper, Ashley Tipper, Shanna Downs, Eric McLendon, Chanel Harris, Sydney McLendon, Marc Anthony McLendon, Tara Bigbee, Trevor Russ, and Austin Russ; great-grandchildren, Abby Day Bigbee, Kiley Bigbee, Cash Harris, Patton Downs, Riley Downs, Lexie Downs and Sophia Mae Russ.
Mrs. McLendon was a beautiful, kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
