Judy Lewis Childress, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Huntsville, AL on April 28, 2026. Judy was born on June 2, 1939, to parents, John & Annie Mae Lewis in Huntsville, AL. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1956. Judy worked for many years in the banking industry. She was very respected and loved by all who knew her. She then worked in the retail industry at Parisian’s & Dillard’s. She loved helping her customers and made lots of lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was best known as Juju. She loved her cat “Baby Girl”, watching golf and collecting oil paintings.

Judy is survived by her son, Johnny Childress (Amy); her daughter, Jana Caudle; grandchildren, Jessica McLean (Carter), Colby Childress, Riley Hogg (Cameron), Chad Caudle, and Rachel Caudle; four great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Lewis (Debbie); and sister-in-law, Nelda Lewis. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elmer ‘Red’ Lewis.

Special thanks to her caregivers, Tanaja Dixson, Shanice Crooks, Shania Thomas, Taleisha Rumph & Enhabit Hospice.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Cairns officiating.
