Funeral service for Judy Irene (Jones) Letson, age 71, of Moulton will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at New Antioch Church of Christ with Bill Becker officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Letson, who passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at her residence, was born January 15, 1954, in Georgia to George Thomas Jones and Margie Josephine Montgomery Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Jones; and sister, Phyllis Smith. Judy was a devoted military wife and retired from Lawrence County 911. She attended New Antioch Church of Christ. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her beloved cats.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Letson; sons, Chris Letson (Gina) and Brian Shea Letson; daughter, Kim Bankston (Chris); brothers, Edgar Jones and Ned Jones (Joan); grandchildren, James David Letson (Victoria), Victoria Paige Burkett (Jake), Zeath Parker, Zane Letson, and Sydnee Bankston (Dakotah Cole); great-grandchildren, Abby Letson, Bean Letson, Jasper Burkett, Memphis Cole, and eagerly awaiting Baby Letson; a host of nephews and nieces; and many beloved friends from Lawrence County High School.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Smith, Craig Jones, Jimmy Heflin, Adam Turner, and Jake Burkett.
