Due to extenuating circumstances, funeral services for Judy Hines Thomas, 76, have been postponed. Service details will be announced when new dates and times are determined.
Mrs. Thomas passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born December 14, 1949, in Lauderdale County, to Clayton Warren Hines and Pearl Elizabeth Gist Hines.
She was a Teacher, retired from Hartselle High School, where she taught French and History. She was a true Southern Lady and leaves a legacy of thoughtfulness. She was always sending cards and encouraging letters to everyone. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed cooking, and crafts. She was a very active member of Flint Church of Christ for 55 years. Judy loved her family dearly, she was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed getting together with family and friends for fellowship and watching the games. She always organized family events and holiday get togethers. Judy also designed and created the lessons plans for Nursery thru 9th grade at church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother- Davis Hines.
Survivors include:
her Husband of 55 years – Danny Thomas,
one Daughter – Deanna Thomas,
Brothers- Harold Hines and Gary Hines, and
Sisters- Regina Wilkerson and (Twin) Jane Palmer (Robert),
Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
