Judy Gail (Battles) Stricklin ObituaryMrs. Judy Gail Battles Stricklin was born at her home in Clifton, TN November 17, 1950 to her parents the late Mr. Charles Edward Battles  and her mother the late Wilton Fraley Battles. She spent her adolescent years in the Clifton area and would

graduate Frank Hughes High School the class of 1968. Soon after she would marry Mr. Johnny Stricklin and the two would forever intertwine their hearts and lives spending the next 57 years together, raising their children and building their lives in the Olive Hill community. Mrs. Stricklin worked in several various fields and positions over the years including Muller Gas Company and Wayne County Medical Center in Waynesboro. Still, her foremost priority was caring for her family keeping the house clean, cooking and lovingly directing her children as they grew. She was a Godly woman as she was a member of the Mt. Calvary Church in Olive Hill.  In her leisure time she could be found reading, watching cooking shows, tending her garden but she held no other moments close to her heart as the time she spent with her children and especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Judy Gail Battles Stricklin passed from this life on September 03, 2025 in Tupelo, MS making her stay on this earth some 74 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 57 years Johnny Stricklin; sons Johnny D. Stricklin and Steven V. Stricklin all of Olive Hill, TN; grandchildren Kala, Kellie, Noah, Courtney, Christian, Payton, Steve Jr., Patrick and Macey; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family, friends and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Ed Battles, Franklin Battles and Mary Linda Walker.

Graveside services will be held Sunday September 07, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Carmel with Mrs. Geneva Middleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel cemetery.

Visitation will begin Sunday September 07, 2025 from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm service time at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC in Waynesboro, TN.
