Judy Faye Todd, aged 81, of Athens, Alabama, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehab in Florence, Alabama. Born on January 12th, 1944, in Limestone County, Judy was the daughter of J.B. Griggs and Nancy Christine Nash Griggs.
Judy leaves behind a loving family, including her grandsons Jeremiah Todd and Amos Thompson, her brother Douglas Eugene “Bubba” Stewart, her sister Martha Ann Alexander, and her daughter-in-law Georgie Todd. She was also cherished by several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Todd; and her son, Darwin Todd.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date to honor Judy’s life and legacy.
Judy was truly a one-of-a-kind woman. A passionate fan of Alabama football, she brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and softball, showcasing her athletic spirit. As a child, she loved squirrel hunting with her brothers and was renowned for her exceptional marksmanship, often being a better shot than the boys.
Judy’s warm presence and indomitable spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
