Gone from our sight but will never be from our hearts.
It’s with our deepest heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Elizabeth Williams, 82 of New Hope AL. Being the devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she passed away surrounded by her family who will forever cherish her unconditional love.
She was born in Terre Haute, IN on March 25,1943 to Robert and Mary Clough who preceded her in death as well as her younger brother, William Joe Clough of Peoria IL.
There were many other family members and friends who she felt a loss for with each passing soul..
She lived over 20 years in Peoria IL and in 1985 moved to Alabama to continue life with her lifelong husband Charles Williams. They shared a love for each other for 65 years that will forever be a legacy. They were high school sweethearts who eloped to marriage because they knew it was a forever kind of love. They shared family, friends, a business and a home that always had clean “dirt”. Her home was always known to be very clean and organized. She enjoyed decorating, working in yard and being with her family
She left this world after a long battle with Dementia. GOD will make her whole again.
Surviving is her husband Charles Williams, son Michael Williams, daughter Kimberly E Bryant (Royce), granddaughter Kelli E Dunson, great-granddaughter Marli E Martin, great-grandson Mason L Martin, sister Sue Gemmaka (with in memory of Jim) and brother Robert H Clough (Renae) and an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends.
“Grief is itself a medicine. A memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are and the things you never want to lose. The risk of love is loss. The price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love”
Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 1:00 pm with Bro.Bob Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
