Judy Carolyn Shelby Lamar Judy Carolyn Shelby Lamar passed away Thursday Morning, April 24th, 2024, at her home in Giles County. She was born in Wales, Tennessee on May 22nd, 1948, and was 76 years old.

Judy, or “Miss Judy”, as she was known at the Growing Tree where she was a pre-school teacher for 20+ years, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was the former Director of the Giles County Help Center and a member of the Second Street Church of Christ. Judy loved scrap-booking, cross stitching, reading and solving crossword puzzles.

Visitation will be Monday, April 28th, 2025 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm Monday, April 28th, 2025 in the Chapel of Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Jenkins officiating.
The burial will follow in Giles Memory Gardens.

Judy was proceeded in death by her parents Audie Coell and Sallie Dee Boatright Shelby. Her husband Thomas E. Lamar. Her brother, Edward Shelby along with her grandson Hunter J. Kimbrough.

She is survived by;
Daughter, Tiffany (Joey) Kimbrough of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Son, Tommy (Elisha) Lamar of Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Grandchildren, Wes Kimbrough, Tory (Cat) Kimbrough, Sean Kimbrough, Jace Lamar, and Gretchann Lamar.
Sisters-in-law, Anita Shelby and Ann Holly of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Brothers-in-law, James (Beth) Lamar of Wartrace, Tennessee and Ricky Lamar of Pulaski, Tennessee.
3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and other family members also survive.
