Judson “Jud” Allen Scott, 61, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at his home in Elkmont, Alabama.
He was born on Monday, February 1, 1965, to the late James Delwyn Scott and the late Myra Eva McAdams Scott.
Jud lived in the Elkmont community for the majority of his life and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as one grandmother, Vivian McAdams.
Jud is survived by his wife of 11 years, Annette Scott, one son, James (Kaitlin) Scott, one daughter, Haley Scott, three stepdaughters; Dana Dunn, Kelsey (Jeremiah) McKinley, and Caitlyn Dunn, two sisters, Julie (Robert) Lewter and Lori (Scott) Morrow, ten grandchildren: Hayden, Remalyn, Eleanor, Thatcher, Brailee, Lucas, Ayden, Oliver, Rylee, and Shaelyn, as well as one great grandchild, Camden.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Scott at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family has made plans to have a private service at a later date for Mr. Scott.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
