Judith Paulette (Clement) Terry
May 26, 1943 ~ December 6, 2021 (age 78)Judi was born in Haleyville, Alabama on May 26, 1943. She passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital Heart Center. Judi had resided in Huntsville, Alabama since 2014. She had previously lived in Huntsville from 1966 until 1980.

Judi grew up in Haleyville and then attended the University of Alabama, where she met her husband Wayne before graduating with a degree in art education. She taught art in Tuscaloosa, as well as Huntsville, before pursuing a degree in nursing. Judi was a charter member of the UAH nursing school. She worked near Huntsville Hospital at the Ambulatory Care Center, in the residency program. In 1980, Judi and her family moved to Georgia. She continued her studies and obtained a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Emory University. Judi served families in the north Georgia area, working with a local family doctor for several years. As a lifelong learner, she wanted to continue to grow professionally. In 1992, she earned a master’s degree in Health Care Policy and Administration at Mercer University. She obtained her favorite degree of Nana when her first grandchild was born in 1992. After relocating to Boston in 1995, Judi continued her work in healthcare with Harvard Healthcare System and subsequently with a doctor group in Salem. She promised her oldest grandchild she would move back to Georgia within 5 years, and she honored that commitment. Judi managed the Risk Management department for a Gainesville medical group before retiring in 2001.

While Judi was extremely successful in her professional career, her real passion was her family. She was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and nana. Judi was a Master Gardener and she loved flowers of all types. She had a green thumb and spent hours researching new species of flowers to plant each spring. Photography, traveling, and spending time with family were other hobbies. She and Wayne had just spent a fabulous week in her favorite city of Boston. Many wonderful memories were made during that vacation. Judi was a huge sports fan and she loved the Braves, Patriots, and all University of Alabama sports. She was also an avid reader, quilter, shopper, and lover of lighthouses.

Judi is survived by her husband, Wayne Terry; daughter Paula Lee Cox (Darryl); son Jason Terry (Gina); grandchildren Lauren Brasher, Olivia Brasher, Kaitlyn Terry, and Emma Terry; sister Suzy Clement Parrott; brother Richard Clement; and cat Charlie. Judi was predeceased by her parents, Doyle and Irma Clement.

A Celebration of Life service will be held sometime after the holiday season. More details will be provided at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Equipus.org. Judi was partial to this non-profit group because Wayne, Paula, Jason, Lauren, and Olivia all made mission trips to other countries with this organization.
