Judy’s work career began early at the age of 13; she would work after school at her Papa Lindsey’s store. She continued there after her parents took over the now known, Brown’s Grocery. Eventually, Judy and Lavell took the reins and ran the beloved business until retirement in 1997. She had several hobbies; a favorite was cooking, prompting her to open Judy’s Deli, created a small catering business she ran with a good friend. Other favorites were reading and enjoying “her hummingbirds” that came every summer. By far, her favorite past time has been watching her grands grow into wonderful young women with loving families and her great grands new beginnings.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Price; parents, Virgil and Johnnie Brown; and brother, Kenneth Brown.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lavell Price; daughter, Tammy Warren (Darrell); grandchildren, Chelsy Frye (Kyle), Casey Clark (Bryan) and Jill Kosloff (Matt); four great grandchildren, Ridge Frye, Rylee Frye, Banks Clark and Mayson Kosloff; sister, Anne Kovach (Ron); brother, Scott Brown (Marsey); nieces, Loree Kovach and Lindsey Brown; nephew, Jeff Kovach; great niece, Blair Kovach; great nephew, Blake Kovach ; a host of other relatives and friends.

Judy had such a heart for children, especially those who suffer from cancer. She would love that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678.
