Funeral Services for Mrs. Juanita Hamil Glenn, age 85 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. Jason Watkins and Rev. David Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow in Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Glenn passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she was a graduate of Clay County High school. Mrs. Glenn was a housewife and a well-known seamstress for many years. She was very active in her church, and was even the treasurer for many years. Mrs. Gleen enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids and traveling with them, especially to the mountains. She loved flowers, gardening, canning, cooking, word searches, and going to church. Mrs. Glenn was a long time member of Sardis Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Glenn of Sylacauga, her son, Jerry Glenn (Emiley) of Ashland, two granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Allyson Glenn, two sisters: Ruby J. Jones of Cragford and Sarah Miller of Ashland, her brother, Ronald Hamil (Marie) of Alexander City, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlin Hamil and Eva Lee “Ed” Crawford Hamil, her husband, Jack Glenn, and two brothers: Billy Joe Hamil and Robert Henderson.

Active Pallbearers will be: Winford Jones, Robert Jones, James Henderson, Mark Miller, Mike Glenn and Wayne Glenn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Willie Joe Glenn and Ronnie Glenn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 12:30 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
