Juanita K Durham Ms. Juanita Durham, 103 of Harvest, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 4th, 2023.

Ms. Durham was born in Gurley, Alabama, and resided in Madison County for her entire life. She ran Durham’s Grocery for over 30 years in Harvest, and was the Trustee of Ford’s Chapel Cemetery for over 40 years, where she will be laid to rest.

She is survived by her grandson; William M. Chapman; great grandson; Monroe A. Chapman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ms. Durham was preceded in death by her five siblings, one husband, and one beautiful daughter (Barbara D. Chapman) who was the light of her life.

Juanita Durham was loved by all who knew her. Some knew her as “Mrs. Durham”, while others knew her as “grandmother”. She loved sports, but most of all, her family. She was a kind, gentle, and forgiving soul who helped whoever was in need. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, instead, she only ever had kind words. She lived life to the fullest (alert, aware and informed) until the end.

The immediate family will have a graveside service and will receive friends at 2:00PM on Friday, the 9th, at Humphrey’s Bar & Grill for a Celebration of Life.
