Mrs. Juanita Almagene Smith Freeman, age 92, died Saturday evening, September 13, 2025 at her home in Bartlett, TN.
Juanita was born in Big Sandy, TN on February 9, 1933, daughter of the late Raymond Richard and Lindy Pearl Ratliff Smith. She grew up in Bethel Springs, TN and graduated from Bethel Springs High School.
She married Arthur Lee Freeman, Jr. on November 26, 1950 in Corinth, MS. and they have made their home in Bartlett since 1964.
Juanita was a member of Mullins United Methodist Church in Memphis and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed gardening, playing the organ and piano and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, A.L. Freeman of Bartlett; two sons, Dennis Lee Freeman of Elmer, NJ and Gary Lynn Freeman of Bartlett.
There will be a Graveside Service for Juanita at 1:30 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Chester County Memorial Gardens on Hwy 45 S in Henderson.
