Joyce Newman Davis age 68 of Athens, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born July 20, 1945 in Limestone County to Raymond Newman and Lola Jordan Newman.
Services will be Monday June 2, 2014 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Survived by her husband, Jim Davis of Athens; sons, Dennis Tarpley and Darrell Tarpley and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Niaka Beth Reed and husband, Thomas, Zachary Tarpley, Nina Tarpley and husband, Alexander, Kayla Tarpley, Isaac Tarpley and Dustin Tarpley; great-grandchildren, Amelia Rose Reed, Lorelei Grace Reed; brother, James Newman; sisters, Rachel Parker and Margaret Tarpley; loads of nieces and nephews who were greatly loved by their Aunt Joyce.
