Joyce McCrary Oliver, 78, of Greenhill, walked into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was surrounded by her family at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary McCrary of Town Creek; and her nephew, Stacey Grisham of Decatur.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Willard, and one daughter, Tina Marmann (Charley) of Sheffield. She leaves her precious grandchildren, Kayla King of Charleston, South Carolina, Molly Dickens (Gavin) of Leighton and Channing Marmann of Sheffield. She is survived by her sister; Bobbie McCrary Sandlin of Pulaski, TN, a niece, April Grisham; and a great-nephew, Jackson Grisham, also of Pulaski, TN. Joyce is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Chandler Dickens, and a great-grandchild due in two weeks. They were the sunshine of her life.
Joyce was valedictorian and a graduate of Hazelwood High School in 1966. She met Willard and they were childhood sweethearts and married when he returned from Vietnam on February 19, 1969, and they were married fifty-seven years. They became loyal members of Mary’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Lexington, AL. She retired from TVA and started a second career as an LPN.
Joyce was beloved by her family, friends and her church family of forty-five years who became like her own family and helped so much in Joyce’s last year.
The visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with the service following at 2:00 p.m. It will be officiated by Marcus Wilson, pastor of her church.
