Mrs. Joyce Maxine Gray, 84, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Elkins Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00-2:45 p.m. The graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Phillip Skipworth officiating.
Mrs. Gray was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of the Church of Christ. For over 20 years she enjoyed her ownership of Joyce and Walters Place on Highway 101 South near Elgin Crossroads. She was preceded in death by six sisters; and two brothers; and her former husband, Walter.
She is survived by a son, Gary Gray and wife, Regina, of Florence; grandsons, Andrew Gray and wife, Kayla, of Florence, and Jamie Gray and wife, Mary, of Town Creek; sisters, Audra Thompson, Katherine Howard and Shirley Furnari, all of Florence. She will be missed by her Chihuahua, Penny.
