Joyce Marie Taylor, age 64 of Lineville, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital.
A Talladega native, she was a former resident of Chandler Springs but had lived in Lineville for the past 21 years. Ms. Taylor had worked for Southland Manufacturing for over 20 years and had also worked for Robinson Manufacturing and Russell Manufacturing.
She is survived by her daughter, Shaine Wolfe (Joseph) of Ashland; her special friend, Robert Dempsey; three grandchildren: Joseph Tomlin, Tiffany Dunaway and Christian Fierros; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Fierros; two sisters: Eilene Hill of Ashland and Dora Irvin of Lineville and two brothers: Donald Strickland and Willie Strickland, both of Alexander City.
Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents: Marion Strickland and Azelda Sewell Strickland and three brothers.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. for a time of remembrance. The family also requests no flowers; however, memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Animal Shelter, 43 Ratley Road, Ashland, AL 36251.
