Joyce Kelly was born October 17, 1932 in Limestone County the youngest child of Melvin and Tessie Hicks.
She passed from this life at her home surrounded by her family on March 3, 2022.
She was baptized July 20, 1945 and was a lifetime member of Enon Baptist Church. She married Arlon Kelly November 10, 1950 and they were married 56 years at the time of his death.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Compton (Steve) of Athens and Sherry Thompson (Jim) of Kimberly Alabama. She was blessed with five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren and three Step Great Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her Hospice Nurse Aimee Wimmer for providing excellent care and treating her life a family member and not a patient.
Brother Kenny Blythe will perform the 2PM Graveside Service Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Good Springs, Alabama. Spry Funeral home in Athens is directing. Her Grandson will serve as Pallbearers.
