Joyce Jeanette Taylor Elliott, 92, of Cherokee, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. There will be a private service for the family.
Jeanette was a Mississippi native and a long-time resident of Cherokee. She retired from the Colbert County School System and was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest “Frosty” Elliott; daughter, Marilyn Ann Elliott McWilliams; and grandson, Joey Alan Pugh.
She is survived by her children, Danny Elliott (Katrina) and Carolyn Stewart (Reed); grandchildren, Krystal Elliott Taylor (Zach), Matthew McWilliams (Nikki), and Michael McWilliams; and great grandchildren, Kennedy Taylor, Ridge Taylor, and Brayden Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
