Joyce Jean Black, 87, of Florence, AL, passed away September 28, 2017 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home. Mrs. Black was a retired clerk at Culpepper’s Bakery and a member of Faith Church.
Mrs. Black is survived by:
Sons: Samuel Steren Black and wife Denise of Florence
Charles Edward Black of Florence
Daughter: Kathy Black Akridge and husband Larry of Florence
Sister: Betsy Tarkington of Huntsville, AL
Grandchildren: Samuel Lee Akridge, Stephen Caleb Akridge, and LeAnn Old
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Black and her parents Roy Jackson “Jack” Horne and Grace Belew Horne.
