Joyce H. Newton, age 80 of Pulaski, passed away Sunday March 2, 2025 at her residence.Joyce was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 20, 1944. She was a cook at Martin College for 27 years and a member of New Zion Baptist Church who loved doing word searches, making quilts, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Laton C. Newton.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am on Friday March 7, 2025 in New Zion Cemetery.
Joyce is survived by her son James Terry Newton (Tammy) of Pulaski; daughter Laura Newton Jean (Donald) of Kelso; brother Wayne Hughett (Ginger) of Rhode Island; sister Judy Atchley of Fayetteville; grandchildren Nathaniel Hillis (Tara Hobbs), Jeremy Hillis (Cassie), Dakota Newton (Rita); great grandchildren Allen Newton, Jackson Newton, Gus Newton, Riley Hillis, Jónsi Newton, Eleanor Newton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
